Background Leaflets and Newsletters, etc
Overview of RTU's work  Colour photos introduce the wide variety of projects, from Children's Villages to Dressmaking Training; from Day-Care Centres for Babies and Toddlers to Women's Self Help Groups.  Produced by RTU in India.
Your Chance to Improve a Child's Life   Explains how Children's Villages work, and introduces the Child Sponsorship Scheme.  Includes a request form for becoming a sponsor. Produced by RTU in India.
Blossoms in the Dust   These deeply moving stories of some of the children being cared for in RTU Children's' Villages are told in their own words in this booklet, with black-and-white photos. Produced by RTU in India.
"Amazing and Inspirational..." A story of five weeks' hard work (and enjoyment) by a team of young volunteers from the UK, building houses for rural villagers.  Also gives a glimpse of life in one of RTU's children's villages. Colour photos provide supporting evidence!  Click here to view page 1 of this 8-page leaflet.
The Newsletter   Our plain-and-simple quarterly Newsletter, sent to all supporters, featuring stories and updates on the work in India from Brother James and other writers.  Back issues are available while stocks last.
  Fundraising for Reaching the Unreached
Giving to Reaching the Unreached   A bit of history of RTU in India and the UK; some of the areas of work people can sponsor; plus a Gift Aid declaration and a standing order form (for use with UK banks) are all in this leaflet.
Collection Envelopes   These are intended for use at fundraising events or church services where there may be lots of gifts - small or large.  Includes a Gift Aid declaration allowing RTU to reclaim tax on every gift from a UK taxpayer.

Sponsorship  Form   Anyone can get sponsored to do anything!  Use this RTU form to collect names, and sponsorship amounts.  Includes Gift Aid declarations to maximise the amount raised.
Fundraise Online   RTU is registered with Justgiving.com, so you can build your own fundraising page on the Justgiving site and start raising funds today.  All you need is an event, or even a personal target, then build your page, and tell your friends about it.  You might need to do a bit of arm-twisting as well!  Visit our fundraising area at Justgiving by Clicking here.
Leaving a Legacy   A legacy enables support for RTU - and for the children who depend on it - to continue beyond your death.  This leaflet explains the ways of including RTU in your will - even if you have already made one. Click here to download a pdf copy of this leaflet.
The Reverse Goat Scheme   We have probably all seen charity catalogues inviting us to give goats to our nearest and dearest.  Or rather, they get the warm feeling—and a third world villager gets the goat (or something else useful).  This is the other way round.  If you receive birthday presents, or anniversary or Christmas gifts,  from friends or family members, why not suggest they make a donation to RTU instead.  We will write and thank them and send some information about the work; and then at least one more quarterly Newsletter.  Ask for a supply of leaflets to give to those you would like to invite to take part.
  Mini-posters and Displays
These A4-size posters are printed at our office as needed.  They all feature colour photos from RTU in south India.  New subjects are added periodically.
Changing Lives in India   An introduction to the work of RTU.
Children's Villages in India   An overview of RTU's children's villages.
Education, Opportunity for Life   Set of 4 posters.  RTU's educational services from day-care centres for babies and toddlers, through to support for young people from its Children's Villages as they study at college or university.
Homes fit for families   RTU builds houses for the poorest rural families, to replace the shacks that are unfit for occupation by children - or adults.
Water for daily living   Poor villagers may have to walk long distances every day for just one pot of water.  RTU drills wells and provides pumps, in an area of Tamil Nadu often affected by drought.
Brother James and the children   Set of 2 posters. RTU was founded by Bro James Kimpton to care for orphaned and abandoned children.  To them he is Tata-Ji, or 'honoured grandfather'.
RTU wins award   This mini-poster celebrates the receipt in 2005 of the 'Best Institution (Women's Welfare)' award, from the Tamil Nadu state government.
TABLE TOP DISPLAY  A set of 3 A4 cards that each fold into triangular stand-up displays: a total of 9 mini-panels covering most aspects of RTU's work.  Ideal for a coffee morning.  (We can print invitations for you as well - just ask!)

BOOKMARKS and DRINKS MATS  Featuring pictures of children from Children's Villages, and some basic information about RTU. We print these in the office, and then lovingly laminate them and cut them up by hand. So, order as many as you need, but no more please!

  Photos and Photo-Presentations
RTU Slideshow  REVISED!!!  Packed with photos of all aspects of RTU's work, and now with a recorded audio commentary, so you can run the slideshow as a self-contained presentation on any PC. The photos are also accessible individually so you can make your own selection to view or print. There is a Word format script included on the CD that can be used to caption individual photos, or as the basis of your own spoken commentary. The CD will play on a PC. The slideshow with recorded audio commentary is also available in a DVD version, so be sure to ask for the format you want.
  Videos

RTU - Land of Hope  A French production team have made this must-see 30-minute programme about the Children's Villages. Beautifully filmed, and with an English commentary, it captures daily life in the foster families as well as in the hostels for teenagers. Foster mothers tell their own stories, and Brother James explains how RTU works. Available on DVD.

Reaching the Unreached   This 20-minute video was made in 1999 but is still an excellent introduction to the work of Bro James and his team.  Available as a VHS cassette or CD-ROM.
