Many of the poorer older people in our area live alone, often widowed and with children who have moved far away from their home villages to build new lives.
No longer able to work, these vulnerable elderly men and women often struggle to pay for day to day necessities such as food, rent and essential medical costs. RTU provides daily food to those who live locally and pension payments enabling them to eat well and keep a roof over their heads.
This gift will help us to provide an older person with financial support, food and clothing, enabling a valued member of our community to live independently, and with dignity, for longer.
