This summer, I will be going to Tamil Nadu in South India, near Batlagundu. Our aim is to work along side local people to build decent village houses for the most disadvantaged families living in remote rural villages, so they can have a safe and secure home in which to raise their families in place of the rough shelters on bare earth floors as pictured in this photo.  RTU has built 8,800 houses to date. Every number represents the life of a unique family whose lives have been transformed – not to mention the positive impact on the whole community.

I completed the Portsmouth Half Marathon in December in 1 hour, 53 minutes and 10 seconds. I am also taking part in the Bath Half this March and aim to beat my time. Training for the half marathons has been quite tough, especially trying to fit long runs in after school and I would greatly appreciate your support.  You can read more about the housing programme at RTU here.
