My great uncle, James Kimpton, travelled to India in the 1970's and set up the charity Reaching The Unreached (RTU) in rural Southern India. He remained out there for the rest of his life devoting his life for the most disadvantaged children and families in poverty-stricken rural areas.

RTU has now grown to provide a home for over 1,000 orphaned children, many of whom are affected by HIV/Aids, as well as a variety of outreach programmes in the area. I visited the charity in 2013, and following my great uncle's death last year I wanted to raise some money for this great cause by running a marathon. Thank you for your donation!
