Our parish, in Berkshire, has chosen Reaching the Unreached as our main charity. We are coming to the end of a three-year commitment to raise funds for RTU. Our aim, with your help, is to raise funds for a new boys hostel to be built in 2019 and to help with the running costs beyond that.

We have been running Indian themed dinner evenings, a Bollywood film night, quiz nights, a raffle, and had a team running a half marathon. All these events are raising money for Reaching the Unreached but also bringing our three church communities together. In addition we are focusing most of the other parish fundraising events on Reaching the Unreached (eg Friday denial group). We have achieved our target to build the hostel which will be named Douai Hostel and any further money raised is being put towards caring for the teenage boys which will be living in it next year.
