Our Children's Villages are currently home to almost 50 HIV+ children and we support many more living with their families in our local area. A diagnosis of HIV in a family can still carry a heavy stigma in rural communities in South India, leading to social isolation and even homelessness.
Children with HIV have reduced immunity and are highly susceptible to infection. It is vital that we give them all the support they need to keep well and remain resilient. This gift will help pay for extra nutritious food, vitamins and other care that will ensure an HIV+ child has the best possible chance of growing up to live a healthy and happy life.
